When I've mentioned these particular situations, I know that these are impenetrable brick walls without either finding those particular records or some similar and long lost records. All the couples mentioned do not leave any probate of any kind; there are no deeds to establish kinship; they all die before 1850 and never appear in the fully enumerated censuses. Likewise, there are no military pension records; Bible records; tax records; court records, etc. I've really looked! I'm so stumped that I actually looked for those records just for that purpose. I even tracked down the papers of the Rev. Jonathan Cushing (a Harvard graduate!)
