On 27 August 1792, Nathaniel Wallis of Epsom, yeoman deeded to Joseph March of Deerfield, Esquire for £26 "a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Epsom aforesaid and is Lott No. Eighty Eight in the third range likewise part of a lott containing thirty two acres and a half being in the whole one hundred acres being the same more or less said land I purchased of my Hond. Father and the Farm that I now live on with the Buildings thereon." (Rockingham County Deeds 135:77). The problem is he doesn't give his father's name the the corresponding grantee deed for Nathaniel was never filed.
On 10 May 1796 Nathaniel Wallace of Epsom, yeoman deeded to John Dolloff of the same Epsom, yeoman, for $425.00, "a certain parcel of land lying and being in said Epsom, the same being a part of the Lotts Number Eighty eight and Eighty nine in the third range of Lots in said Town, said tract to contain all the land that I now own in said Lots that lies on the northwesterly side of the Road leading from Epsom main road to Pembroke and contains thirty acres be the same more including buildings standing thereon." "And I Deborah Wallace, wife of the said Nathaniel quit my right of dower to the above mentioned premises. (Rockingham County Deeds 142:390). No mention of how he obtain this land. Possibly a grant.
On 24 June 1796 Nathaniel Wallis of Epsom, yeoman deeds to Joseph Towle of Epsom, yeoman, for $330.00 "a certain piece or parcel of land lying in Epsom aforesaid and in part of the Lots numbered 88 and 89 in the third range bounded as followeth . . . containing forty seven acres and sixty four rods precisely. Deborah Wallace again releases her dower. (Rockingham Deeds 144:81)
So thereafter with his $755 in land, he bought land in Moultonborough. The transactions overlap. On 30 March 1796, John Hubbard of Sandwich sold to Nathaniel Wallace, of Epsom, yeoman, 70 acres in the 2nd division of lots in Moultonborough for £51. (Strafford Deeds 27:250). Likewise on 28 May 1796, Peter Moulton of Moultonborough deeded for £60 to Nathaniel Wallace of Epsom his rights in a common piece of land first drawn to Benning Moulton and was deeded to Peter. (Strafford Deeds 40:16). None of this helps too much in identifying ancestors.
On 10 March 1814, Isaac Wallace of Moultonborough, husbandman deeds to Ezekiel Hoit, Esquire, for $50, a certain piece of land in Moultonborough containing 21 acres more or less, of the farm and land where my Hond. father now lives or all that part of the deeded to me by my said father and adjoins land of Nathaniel Blake where he now lives reference being had to the deed that my said father gave me dated July 2 1814. (Strafford Deeds 82:483). Again, no father's name, but that deed is recorded just before this deed and it was Nathaniel Wallace of Moultonborough, husbandman and in that deed he never mentions his relationship to Isaac, but does state "except for the seven acres and one half of an acre of land I deed to my daughter Marrabah as per deed." (Strafford Deeds 82:481). So, Nathaniel's relationship with these two children are certain. The others are made by inference based on their marriage dates and the fact there is only one Wallis family in Moultonborough (there is a Wallace family too) at the correct time.
