I made a trip to the Connecticut State Library today. Two hours to get there and two hours home. They have all the land, probate, and vital records for all of colonial (pre-1850) Connecticut in a one-stop shopping deal. They also have all the colonial court records for the state. However, the nice, but incompetent librarian was not much help. She didn't want me to get those records. I don't know why. The best I could do was a microfilm set of the New London County trials 1662-1701, which are unindexed.
