Pavel [Chodur] Dolinsky 1877-1937
My great-grandparents Pavel Dolinsky and Anna Kristofik c. 1907. Interestingly, his last name was actually Chodur. Because of all the Chodurs in Vrbovce, the village in Slovakia from where he came, his name was given as Chodur Dolinae (the Chodur who lived in the valley). Thanks to an Ellis Island bureaucrat, the name was re-christened Dolinsky in this country. Luckily my grandmother knew this and searching for the real surname was never a problem for me.

Multiple Descents
Every genealogist comes across multiple descents from the same couple. Chris Child recently posted his 10 Child lines. I know of another prominent genealogist with 17 Smith lines and another with over 20 lines back to Rev. Stephen Bachiler. It must be so discouraging for someone so interested in genealogy to see the same surname crop up time after time. I have nothing like those numbers. No double digit descents for me on these shores. I need to get back to the medieval times for such things. Here's a triple for me:
