Per Nat Taylor, I've learned something new. It's now become vogue (or am I on the leading edge of this trend?) to trace your XY line, that is gender alternating per generation. It is interesting that this line, unlike your patrilineal line or umbilical line differs for your siblings of the opposite sex.
For me its:
1. Martin Hollick
2. Sharon Pinkham
3. Clarence Pinkham 1912-2007
7. Alexander Milne born say 1796, married at Brechin, Angus, Scotland, on 27 May 1816, and was alive in the 1841 Scotland census. Alexander will no doubt be the focus of Monday Madness posting in the future.
Interestingly, it's the shortest of my lines, my others taking me to the 1690-1700 time period.
My sisters' lines would be:
1. Sister #1 and Sister #2
2. Paul John Hollick
3. Susan Dolinsky 1909-1994
4. Pavel Chodur Dolinsky 1877-1937
5. Anna Valuch-Malarik 1849-1921
6. Jan Valuch-Malarik (Jr.) 1826-1881
7. Anna Skok b. 1807
8. Jan Skok b. 1787
9. Anna Nevocny, b. say 1765 probably in Vrbovce, Slovakia who married on 22 November 1785 there.
My nephews have this same line. My nieces will follow their fathers (my brothers-in-law).
Interesting -
Mine would be:
1. Christopher Challender Child
2. Joy Dolores Challender
3. Willard Alton Challender
4. Elizabeth Belle Severance
5. Willard Lorenzo Severance
6. Marion Botsford
7. Ezra Harrison Botsford
8. Mabel Warner
9. Dr. Reuben Warner
10. Silence Hurd
11. Benjamin Hurd
12. Ann --- (m. 1662, Milford, CT to John Hurd)
going from CT to NY to KS back to CT to MA
