I've made the trip to my grandfather's house in Skowhegan somewhere in the hundreds of times since I was born. The house now belongs to my parents. Along Route 201 in Fairfield is a small cemetery, not unlike the thousands of small cemeteries in New England. On this trip, I finally stopped and looked around and took a few photos. I also wanted to use this one cemetery as an experiment on gauging the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the Maine Old Cemeteries Association (MOCA) transcriptions. If you are unaware of these gems, I first used them in paper at the Maine State Library in Augusta. They are now available on CD-ROM from Picton Press as PDF files. Each county in Maine has one. York County's was also published in a four volume book format.
