Examples You Can Cite

Much of genealogy is getting acquainted with the time period and customs thereunto.  I tend to read many scholarly journals and have in my mind many examples of how a specific term or relationship was used.   One such thing might be the term cousin denoting our modern definition of nephew.  Another is how the terms junior and senior were used in colonial records.  From now on I will start to add specific examples in this category with the proper citation, so that others can say, here's a specific example of that term being used, etc.
