I can't impress on beginner and intermediate genealogists enough, the importance of land records. If you haven't done research in deeds and land grants, you are barred (in my book) from using the terms "dead end" or "brick wall." I have numerous examples how land records are the only proof of a relationship that have survived time. Some deeds note multiple generations. Coming up is an example of what wonderful information can be found in deeds.
