1. John Swan was born about 1695 in Ireland and died after 1774 at Peterborough, New Hampshire. He married about 1717, Margaret McCrossin, born say 1695 and died before 1755 at Peterborough. I've always considered McCrossin to be a made up name, since there is no primary evidence for it. John was a tailor. He had five sons: Gustavus, Alexander, William, John, and Jeremiah.
2. William Swan was born about 1724, probably in Ireland, and died 22 October 1759 in Albany, New York as a result of wounds incurred in the French and Indian War. He married 26 February 1751 at Lunenburg, Massachusetts, Mary Russell, born about 1730 and died 10 December 1808 at Dublin, New Hampshire, daughter of Robert and Mary (---) Russell. Mary married secondly Moses Adams. William and Mary had five daughters: Margaret, Mary, Jane, Lydia, and Elizabeth.
3. Margaret Swan born 27 October 1751 at Peterborough, New Hampshire, died 16 January 1818 at Dublin, New Hampshire. She married on 31 October 1771 at Dublin, Benjamin Learned, born 23 July 1741 at Sherborn, Massachusetts and died 5 September 1818 at Dublin, New Hampshire, son of Edward and Abigail (Moore) Learned.
