New Hampshire Provincial Court Case #22953: 23 July 1762:
The jurors for our Sovereign Lord the King on oath do present that John Cromwell of Dover in the Province of New Hampshire, Tinker, hath not carefully applyed himself to the Duty of Religion and Piety publicly on the Lord's Day for the space of three months from the Lord's Day inclusively immedially foregoing and proceeding to the 8th Day of June Instant which is against the Laws made and provided as presentment on file.
That's my kind of ancestor! (and he is twice over--maybe that's where I get it from?)
