As a follow-up to the six degrees of near Mayflower misses, I do actually have a Mayflower line. I'm part of the great Tilley-Hurst-Howland clan:
1. John Tilley 1571-1621 m. Joan Hurst 1568-1621, both passengers, died first winter
2. Elizabeth Tilley 1607-1687 m. John Howland 1592-1673, both passengers
3. Desire Howland 1625-1683 m. Ralph Gorham 1620-1675
4. Mercy Gorham 1658-1725 m. George Denison (Jr.) 1653-1711
5. Samuel Denison 1686-1724 m. Mary Lay 1685-after 1734
6. Gideon Denison 1723-1795 m. Elizabeth Chalker 1730-1803
7. Elizabeth Denison 1756-aft 1820 m. Josiah Dudley 1745-aft 1837
This part is solid. The break in documentation occurs between these two generations. I wrote about it in 2003 in this article. The generations from 8 on to me is also solid, but as such I've never applied to be a member in the Mayflower Society. Yet.
8. Polly B. Dudley 1787-aft 1850 m. Amos Learned 1780-aft 1855
9. Abiah Russell Learned 1830-1926 m. Benjamin Wingate Hurd 1824-1904
10. Olive Ann Hurd 1851-1934 m. George Hale Pinkham 1843-1888
11. Burt Hale Pinkham 1881-1950 m. Kate Kinmond 1885-1918, my great-grandparents.
