Mrs. Edward J. Caron
Westbrook [Maine], Mrs. Agnes E. Caron, 56, wife of Edward J. Caron, of 85 Haskell Street, died Sunday night in a a Pompton Plains, N.J., hospital, after a brief illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Westbrook, being born in this city Sept. 8, 1915, the daughter of Archie and Lila Quigley Pratt. She attended Westbrook schools, graduating from Westbrook High School.
She served as the first woman city clerk here.
She was employed a the former Dana Warp Mill and for the past 15 years had worked in the office at Sebago-Moc Co., factory here.
Mrs. Caron attended Warren Congregational Church.
Besides her husband she is survived by a brother Warren T. Pratt of Windham, two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Hollick with whom she was visiting at the time of her death, and Miss Lyla Pinkham, Westbrook, three grandchildren and several cousins.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at 795 Main St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
