Four years ago I shut down this blog. I did so for personal reasons which I may someday explain in a separate posting. However, during the four years, I always monitored the blog. I could always see how many hits the blog got and from where the person was coming from. No surprise, the two most popular postings were on the royal lines of Rose (Stoughton) Otis and Ann (Skipwith) (Goforth) Oxley. Everybody loves a good royal line. And my postings were very good, well-written and completely sourced.
Recently I have seeing that my postings on specific people in my ancestry got hits. Posts on John Ellis and John Briggs were hit often. At the time I was going through my ancestry alphabetically and posting on a family every Saturday. So I've begun to finish that job. I will be posting on a family daily in my ancestry using rough alphabetical order during this next year. The postings will be completely sourced. I've finished the B's and will now begin on the C's. So sit back and enjoy and will see how many hits Google will provide to these families.
Hi Martin,
I was checking some bookmarked pages that I haven't visited in a while and was delighted to see you resumed blogging some time ago.
So far I've found one mutual ancestor (John Elderkin), as well as one you share with my wife (Robert Clements), but I'm enjoying scrolling through all the sketches.
Best regards,
Dave Morehouse

Hello Dave. Just saw your latest article in TAG. Congratulations. So why haven't you found the English origins of John Elderkin yet?

So many ancestors, so little time...;)
I also see we share the Lester family of Connecticut, and you share John Clough with my wife (and now I recall that you two are also both descended from Thomas Bradbury, who hasn't made it to the blog yet).
Somehow I've managed to miss all your fancy royal connections, though!
Dave
