I descend from two separate and unrelated Drake families. This is the first and I descend from them in three separate lines.
1. William Drake born say 1555 and married at Halstead, Essex, England on 12 October 1578, Joan Merrylls, also born say 1555. They had two children:
2a. Isabel Drake was born about 1579 at Halstead, Essex and died 12 October 1639 at Watertown, Massachusetts. She married about 1605 John Smith alias Bland, born about 1580 and died after 2 November 1663 at Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. Isabel and John had two daughters: Anabel and Isabel.
2b. Robert Drake was baptized 23 July 1581 at Halstead, Essex, England and died 14 January 1667/8 at Hampton, New Hampshire. Robert had an unknown wife by whom he had three children: Nathaniel, Susannah, and Abraham.
3bi. Nathaniel Drake was born about 1613 and died about 1691 at Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He married about 1652, Jane (---) Berry, widow of William Berry. Jane was born about 1611 and died after 1687. Nathaniel and Jane had two daughters: Jane and Rachel.
3bii. Abraham Drake was born about 1620 and died after 1693 at Hampton, New Hampshire. He married Jane (---) who died at Hampton on 25 January 1676. Together they had seven children: Susanna, Abraham, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Robert.
4bi. Jane Drake, daughter of Nathaniel and Jane (---) Drake was born about 1653 at Portsmouth, New Hampshire and was living February 1723. She married on 15 December 1673 at Little Harbor, New Hampshire, William Wallis, born about 1648 at Portsmouth and died after February 1723 at New Castle, New Hampshire, son of George and Eleanor (---) Wallis. William and Jane had four children: Jane, Samuel, Sarah and William.
4bii. Sarah Drake, daughter of Abraham and Jane (---) Drake was born 29 December 1656 at Hampton, New Hampshire and died there 12 June 1716. She married about 1682 at Falmouth, Maine, Anthony Libby, born about 1652 at Scarborough, Maine and died about March 1718 at Hampton, New Hampshire, son of John Libby. Anthony married secondly at Hampton on 6 January 1717/8 Jane Rackley, widow of William whom he remembered in his will. Anthony was a carpenter. Anthony and Sarah had Sarah, Abraham, Mary, Isaac, Hannah, Jacob, and Jane.
